Marie A. Mundy, 93

OSWEGO, NY – Marie A. Mundy, 93, a resident of Oswego, passed away on Saturday January 3, 2015, at her home.

Born in Syracuse, she was a daughter of the late Bernard and Mary (Johnson) Brennan and was a graduate of St. Mary’s School and Oswego High School.

She was the head cashier at Acme and Loblaws for 18 years and later was employed with the Oswego Hospital pharmacy and engineering department until her retirement in 1987.

She worked at Oswego Speedway for many years in the pizza booth.

Marie also worked at the Board of Elections until 2014.

She was a longtime volunteer at St. Mary’s Church and was the chairman of the blanket booth at the annual bazaar for 40 years.

She also enjoyed making crafts and was a vendor at many local shows.

Surviving are her son, Richard (Kelly) Mundy of Norwood; her daughter, Annie (Gary Palmitesso) Raponi Tuttle of Oswego; four grandchildren, Nicole (Dr. Tim) Barcomb, Richard B. (Maggie Paszek) Mundy, Garrett Tuttle and Jazz Tuttle and their father, Jimmy Tuttle; a brother, Bernard Brennan of Connecticut; three great-grandchildren, Timmy, Ryan and Reagan Barcomb; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband, Richard Perch, in 1960; and her sister, Anne Brennan, in 2014.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 9 a.m. from St. Mary’s Church.

Burial will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dowdle Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m.
