OSWEGO, NY – Mary Judith “Judy” Leone, 70, a resident of Oswego, passed away on Monday September 24, 2012, at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse.
Born in Oswego, she was a daughter of the late Jennings and Jane (McCaffrey) Cahill and was a graduate of Oswego High School.
She was employed with Nestle’s, but for most of her life she was a homemaker.
She enjoyed listening to Elvis and Tammy Wynette and was a member of St.Paul’s Church.
Surviving are her former husband, Richard Leone Sr. of Altmar; five children, Richard Leone Jr. of New Haven, Bruce Leone of Oswego, Mary (Michael) Rombugh of New Haven, Frank Leone of Mexico and Lisa (Dwayne) LeMay of New Haven; 14 grandchildren, Richard III, Amanda, Hannah, Mikey, Christopher, Bruce Michael, Caitlyn, Anthony, Stacy, Ashley, Lucy, Frankie Jr., Zachary and Ella Rose; two brothers, Dean (Ann) Cahill and Timothy (Pat) Cahill both of Oswego; a sister, Sue Haynes of Pulaski; an aunt, Nancy McCaffrey of Oswego; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her two sisters, Nancy Bugow and Ellen Van Horn; and three brothers, William, Robert and Martin (Gus) Cahill.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery.
There are no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
