  1. Ms. Bouchard was a very good teacher, I had her for 12th grade English. I’m very sorry for her loss.

  2. Mrs. Bouchard was my 12th grade English Teacher and holds a very special place in my heart. English was never a very strong subject for a “jock” like me, however I learned a lot from Mrs. Bouchard my Senior year. I remember a particular class in which we listened to Zed Zeppelin’s “Stairway to Heaven” and we were asked to interpret the lyrics. We had daily journals that we kept and Mrs. Bouchard encouraged us to write about our dreams and goals. I accomplished two goals that year: a Section III Wrestling Title and a NYS Wrestling title!!! Many times through my 21 years of teaching and coaching, I refer to my 1989 English 12th grade journal. In fact my student-athletes now keep their own Journal and are required to state their own personal and team goals! Thank-you Mrs. Bouchard for everything you have given me…I’m sure you are SMILING ON THAT STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN!!! Thoughts and prayers are with your family?

  3. Mrs. Bouchard was my English teacher in 11th grade and I remember her class fondly. She was an excellent teacher who wanted the best for her students (and expected our best work in return). I recall how much she enjoyed working with us and helping us develop as writers. She made literature fun, whether it be a comic book version of Macbeth (to reinforce our reading of the Shakespearean text) or a celebratory Huck Finn Day after we finished reading The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed joking with us. At the end of the year she gave each student in our class a personalized handwritten note that wished us the best in our future endeavors. In a high school of 1200+ students she took the time to get to know us, provided us the very best learning experience and showed that she cared. She truly made a difference and will be greatly missed. Rest in peace, Mrs. Bouchard!
