Paul V. Pratt

OSWEGO, NY – Paul V. Pratt, of Oswego, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 1, 2017.

Born in Mannsville NY , he was the son of the late Harold and Vira Pratt.

He was a resident of Sylvan Beach for more then 30 years where he worked as a State Trooper and later moved to Oswego.

Paul who received a degree in Economics from Hobart College was also a successful author.

His book “The Conservative Approach,” which covered social, economic and political conditions of society, was said to be “full of suspense, crime and punishment.”

Paul’s hobbies included hunting, fishing, collecting and building guns, furniture building and gardening.

Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Joyce Pratt; two sons, Brian (Susan) Pratt of California and Seth (Anita) Pratt of Washington; four grandsons, Zachary, Luke, Nathan and John; two great-grandchildren; in-laws; nieces and nephews; and friends.

Memories and reflections will be shared on Thursday from 3 – 4 p.m. at the West Baptist Church with a celebration of life to follow at 4 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the West Baptist Church, 39 W. Mohawk St., Oswego, NY 13126 or the Salvation Army, 73 W. Second St., Oswego, N.Y. 13126.

    I always enjoyed a visit with him at the P&C in Oswego when I
