OSWEGO, NY – Ruth Eileen Vivlemore, 85, a former resident of New York and a current resident of Florida for the past ten years passed away on Thursday January 23, 2014, in Florida.
Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and and Jenny (Carey) Vivlemore.
She was a graduate of Oswego High School and the Crouse School of Nursing.
Ruth Eileen was a nurse at Crouse Hospital and then she was a nurse at the Upstate Medical University where she was involved with Radiation Therapy before her retirement in 1994.
Surviving are her brother, James Vivlemore of Wilson, North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her three brothers, Raymond, George and John Vivlemore.
Funeral services are private and at the convenience of the family.
There are no calling hours.
Burial will be in Rural Cemetery.
Arrangements are in care of the Dowdle Funeral Home.
