OSWEGO, NY – Thomas J. Miller, 63, a resident of Mexico, passed away on Tuesday February 7, 2017, at his home.
Born in Oswego, he was the son of the late Clarence and Shirley (Reidy) Miller.
He was a graduate of Oswego Catholic High School, Class of 1971, Simmons School of Mortuary Science, Class of 1972 and the Onondaga Community College.
Mr. Miller was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He served in the Air Force for nine years and at one time was stationed at the Lakenheath Air Force Base in England.
He worked for many years as a registered respiratory therapist in Oswego County.
He was a past member of the Mexico Lions Club and an active member of the Mexico Sports Boosters.
He enjoyed golfing and fishing.
Surviving are his children, Master Sergeant, Christopher (Kristin) Miller of Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, Kimberly Miller of Coco Beach, Florida, twin sons, Matthew and Daniel Miller of Mexico and Emily Miller of Mexico; two sisters, Nancy (Kevin) Belden of Mexico and Candy (Helen) Sereno of Oswego; a brother, Michael (Kathy) Miller of Baldwinsville; two grandchildren, Brett and Morgan; and numerous nieces ,nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Friends may call at the Dowdle Funeral Home on Friday from 3 – 7 p.m. with a service to follow the hours.
