OSWEGO, NY – Victor J. Sciortino, 57, a resident of Oswego, passed away on Thursday December 10, 2015, at the Upstate Medical University, Syracuse.
Born in Oswego, he was a son of the late of Michael and Mildred (Wood) Sciortino Sr. and was a graduate of Oswego High School.
He was the maintenance supervisor at the Pontiac Care and Rehab Center for 39 years.
Victor was an avid bowler who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends especially his grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife of 36 years, the former Elaine Haynes; two sons, Patrick “PJ” Sciortino and Thomas Sciortino both of Oswego; a brother, Michael (Darlene) Sciortino Jr. of Mexico; and four grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Dowdle Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4 – 7 p.m. with a service to follow the hours.
Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
