Albert Donahue Sr., 85

FULTON, NY – Albert Donahue Sr., 85, of Hannibal, passed away Saturday June 1, 2013, at Oswego Hospital following a brief illness.

He was born in Solvay, a son to the late, John and Irene Donahue and resided in the Fulton-Hannibal area for the last 50 years.

Al was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

He had worked as a heavy equipment operator at The Brickyard in Warners and was a self-employed auto mechanic.

Al enjoyed hunting and bass fishing.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Mabel Etta Waite, who died October 20, 2001; Albert “Butch” Donahue, Jr., who died May 1, 2009; Jack Donahue, Sr., who died June 15, 1972; two sisters and two brothers.

Al is survived by his six children, Gary (Karen) Donahue of Hannibal, Peggy (Ron) Billings of Fulton, Sandy (Tim) Gareau of Fulton, Duane (Gloria) Donahue of Fulton, Art (Kathy) Donahue of Hannibal and Dave (Kim) Donahue of Fulton; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with services to follow at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton.
