Alfred ‘Fred’ Cavallaro III, 66

FULTON, NY – Alfred “Fred” Antonio Cavallaro III, 66, of Lady Lake, Florida, formerly of Fulton, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday October 16, 2014.

Born in Dearborn, Michigan, on August 28, 1948, he was raised and lived in the Phoenix-Fulton, NY, area for most of his life.

Fred retired to central Florida where he resided at Water Oak and Spruce Creek for the past 12 years.

He also had a summer camp in Cape Vincent, 1000 Islands, NY.

Fred attended the Fulton school system and graduated from Phoenix Central Schools.

Fred was employed by Niagara Mohawk.

He was a proud member of both VFW Post 5540, Phoenix, and the American Legion Post 347, Lady Lake, Fla.

Fred was an avid softball player, golfer, enjoyed participating in trivia contests and showing his classic cars.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Pearl (Waldron) Cavallaro; daughter, Andrea and her husband, Bob Riley, of Syracuse, NY; son, Corey and his wife, Linda Cavallaro, of Stone Ridge, NY; granddaughters, Amanda Coryn and April Grace of Syracuse; a brother, Ken Reynolds and his wife, Donna, of Tuscan, Ariz.

Calling hours will be held 2 to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 25, at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Fred’s name to the American Legion Post 347, 699 W. Lady Lake Blvd., Lady Lake, Fla. 32159.

    Fred was a Old Kiwanis Baseball /Sandlot Football and Fairgrieve Pal . We kind of
    lost touch after his move to Phoenix in 8th Grade,are path’s crossed periodically but he brings back
    fond memories of our young years. Again my sympathies to all .
