Alice White Coakley, 101

FULTON, NY – Alice White Coakley, 101, of Fulton, passed away on Wednesday January 6, 2016, at Seneca Hill Manor in Oswego.

A native of Volney, she was the daughter of the late Glenn and Hazel Ives White.

Alice was a member of State Street United Methodist Church in Fulton and had been active in church organizations and kitchen activities.

She was also a member of the Fulton Women’s Club.

Alice was a kind and loving wife, mother and grandmother who was loved by all who knew her.

She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, John Coakley, in 2003; and daughter, Jean Coakley Pierce, in 2004.

Surviving are her sons, Edward (Linda) and James (June) Coakley and son-in-law, Albert (Nancy) Pierce; 12 grandchildren, Edward (Cory), Jeff (Gretchen) and Robert (Angela) Coakley, Tara Cary (Matt) Kucharski, Brett (Robin) Cary, Mitch (Jennifer) Cary, Carrie Coakley (Don) McPherson, John (Tessa) Coakley, Michele (Brad) Whitman, Lynn Naramor, Kip (Rose) Pierce and Heidi Pierce (Allen) Agnew; 24 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held 10 a.m. until noon. Wednesday, January 13, with services to follow at noon at Foster Funeral Home, Inc., 910 Fay St., Fulton.
