FULTON, NY – Amos L. “Lil Amos” Hubbard II, 39, of Volney, passed away suddenly on Sunday February 14, 2016, at Oswego Hospital.

He was a life resident of the Fulton-Volney area and a G. Ray Bodley High School graduate, class of 1997.

Amos worked at Huhtamaki in Fulton for ten years.

He was a member of Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church in Volney, the Recreational Club in Fulton, Loyal Order of the Moose in Fulton and associate member of V.F.W. Post #569 in Fulton.

Amos was a former member of the Mount Pleasant Boy Scout Troop where he earned many badges and awards.

He enjoyed playing pool and was on various pool leagues; collecting antiques especially vintage Boy Scout items, beer company advertising and “junk.”

Surviving are his companion and love of his life, Stacey Meyers of Volney; father, Amos Hubbard of Volney; mother, Marie Bailey of Florida; siblings, Robert Bower of Florida, Laurie Bower of Greene and Michelle Bowen of North Carolina; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Amos was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Harold and Susie Bellinger Hubbard; maternal grandparents, Homer and Alice Bailey; and half-brother, Paul Bower.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton, with services 11 a.m. Saturday, at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church, 2819 County Route 45, Fulton.

  1. To the family of Amos: So sorry for your lost at such a young age! I just seen Amos a few weeks ago always smiling and happy, A very nice young man.

  2. Very sad and shocking to hear of Amos’ passing. He always had a smile on his face with a very friendly greeting. A really great guy. He was devoted to his dad. My sincere condolences to him. He will be missed by all who knew him. God Bless.

  3. Amos, I am very sorry for you loss. You had made it quite obvious that he was your pride & joy. No words can bring you comfort for what you are going through. All you can do is look up and ask the good Lord to take him under his wing until the day comes when you are joined together again for eternity. If there is anything you need please call me.   4. Amos and Marie, I am shocked and saddened by your loss. I will always remember “Lil Amos” in his adolescent years spending time with my children. He was a joy to be around. “Lil Amos” grew into a fine young man, gone too soon. I will not be able to attend the calling hours, know my thoughts and prayers for comfort are with you both.
