FULTON, NY – Betty I. Askew, 86, of Granby, passed away Sunday April 29, 2012, at University Hospital in Syracuse.
Born in Ellenburg Center, she has lived in the Fulton area since 1987.
Betty was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Baldwinsville and was a member of the Senior Group.
She enjoyed playing the piano and organ, knitting, sewing, cooking and gardening.
She was predeceased by her husband, Edwin A. Askew, who passed away in 1989.
Betty is survived by her children, David, Cynthia Leierer, Wayne, Paul and Elaine Johnston; siblings, Cortis Hobbs, Shirley Drummond, Harley Hobbs and David Hobbs; 15 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday at Temple Baptist Church, 2295 Downer St., Baldwinsville.
A service will immediately follow at noon.
Burial will be at Mount Adnah Cemetery, Fulton.
