Betty Ives Bartholomew, 90

FULTON, NY – Betty Ives Bartholomew, 90, of Fulton, passed away on Monday August 8, 2016, at St. Luke Residential Health Services in Oswego.

A native of Volney, she lived in Fulton most of her life.

Betty retired from Armstrong World Industries in Fulton as a customer service representative after many years.

She was a member of Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church in Volney; member for more than 55 years and Past Matron of Elizabeth Chapter #105, Order of the Eastern Star in Fulton; Past Right Worthy Matron and Past Grand Ruth; a 49 year member of Cairo Temple, Daughters of the Nile and had been an advisor for Athena Triangle in Fulton.

Betty volunteered at St. Luke Residential Health Services for many years.

She was the daughter of the late, Robert and Louise Ives and was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Earl Bartholomew, in 2006.

Surviving are: her extended family, Allyson (Michael) McManus, Colleen (Thomas) Madigan, Jeffrey (Ethel O’Neal) Carter and Lori (Robert) Secreti and “grandchildren,” Taylor and Michael McManus, Jackie Watkins, Christopher, Michael, Thomas and Jeffrey Madigan, Jennifer and Dillon Secreti and Vharie Carter.

Calling hours will be held 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, August 12, at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton, with an Eastern Star service at 12:30 p.m.

Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Rev. Shawn Porter officiating and burial at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, County Route 45 in Volney.
