FULTON, NY – Carl “Kike” VanBuren, 71, of Fulton passed away in Florida on Saturday Jan. 14, 2012.
Born in Oswego, Carl had lived in the Fulton – Hannibal areas for several years.
He retired from Dean Foods and had also worked at ConAgra Foods.
Carl enjoyed being outdoors and loved the NY Yankees.
He was predeceased by his wife, Diane M. VanBuren, who passed away in 2005; a daughter, Lisa VanBuren; a brother, Allen Groat; and a sister, Donna Backus.
He is survived by his children, Carl Jr., Tina, Linda, Ladonna, Mike, Scott and Daniel; brothers, Bob Groat and Jay VanBuren; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Memorial calling hours will be 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton.
A graveside service at St. Mary’s Cemetery will be held at a later date.
