Catherine E. Abbott, 83

FULTON, NY – Catherine E. Abbott, 83, of Minetto, passed away on Saturday July 6, 2013, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse.

Born in Minetto, the daughter of the late Glenn Stevens and Catherine Tyrell Stevens, she was a homemaker raising four children.

She was a communicant of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Minetto.

Catherine was predeceased by her husband, Richard E. Abbott Sr., in 2000; and by siblings, Richard and Robert Stevens and Alberta Menter.

Surviving are two daughters, Linda Abbott of Minetto and Robin (Gary) Pryor of Oswego; two sons, Thomas (Sandra) Abbott of Fulton and Richard (Donna) Abbott Jr. of Mooresville, NC; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Muriel Buske of Oswego and Shirley (William) Castleberry of Groton Conn.; two brothers, Henry Stevens of Oswego and Edward (Fran) Stevens of New Haven; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton, with graveside services 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Cemetery, South Seventh Street in Fulton.
