HANNIBAL, NY – Cheri L. Welling, 68, of Hannibal, passed away on Friday, July 1, 2016, at home surrounded by her family.
She had worked as a rural mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Oswego for many years.
She was a member of the Elks Lodge #271Auxiliary in Oswego.
Cheri enjoyed making wedding cakes and crafts, camping, watching NASCAR races and golf.
She was predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Ethel Belson Donaldson; and siblings, Arthur and James Donaldson and Ethel Mae Kenyon.
Surviving are her husband of more than 48 years, Edward Welling of Hannibal; two sons, Todd (Meghan) and Troy (Renae) Welling all of Hannibal; grandchildren, Zachary, Nathan, Nicholas, Benjamin, Calista, Mason and Wyatt Welling; a sister, Deanna (Ronald) Scott of Hannibal; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be held noon to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5, at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga St., Hannibal, with a graveside ceremony to follow at Hannibal Village Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are encouraged to the Friends of Oswego County Hospice, Inc. or to the American Cancer Society.
