FULTON, NY – Daniel F. Maher Sr., 76, of Fulton, passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2017, at University Hospital in Syracuse after a short illness.

He was the son of the late James and Helen (Cunningham) Maher and a lifelong resident of Fulton.
Daniel enjoyed the simple things in life such as reading, walking, camping, spending time outside and painting.
He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.
Daniel was predeceased by his wife of 43 years, Carol Wood Maher, in 2005.
Surviving are four children, Daniel (Karen) Maher Jr of Fulton, Lisa Maher of Fulton, Cheryl (Jason) Moreau of Constantia and Lori Lyn Maher (Ronnie Richards) of Fulton; four siblings, Ellen Healy of Fulton, Patricia Coe of Hannibal, James (Connie) Maher of Hannibal and Kathy (Robert) McCrae of Granby; 11 grandchildren, Sierra, Corey, Allisha, Brandon, Joshua, Katelyn, Brett, Bradley, Brooke, Alexis and Kaylee; two furry grandchildren, Jaco and Viggo; 15 great-grandchildren; his dog, Heidi; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 22, at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton.
A funeral service will immediately follow.
A graveside service will be at noon on Wednesday, August 23, at Mount Adnah Cemetery, Fulton.
