David L. Hunley, 76

FULTON, NY – David L. Hunley, 76, of Fulton, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2018, at Oswego Hospital.

He was born on May 13, 1941, and grew up in Union Town, Pennsylvania.

David was a decorated veteran and retiree of the U.S. Navy who served in the Vietnam War receiving numerous medals and awards, including, Good Conduct Medal, National Service Award, Republic of Vietnam Service, Armed Forces Expeditionary Service Medal and Marine Corps Expeditionary Ribbon.

A few of the U.S. Navy ships he served on are, USS Forest B Royal, USS Saratoga (CV-60) and USS America.

Dave had a love for model trains especially the steam trains and enjoyed reading Tom Clancy novels.

He was predeceased by his parents, Clifford and Edna Hunley; and son, David Hunley Jr.

He will be greatly missed and forever loved by his wife of 35 years, Karen Stafford; four children, Darren (Kathy) Hunley, Daniel (Gina) Hunley, Dana (Randy) Mason and Debbie Hunley all of Florida; 16 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
