David N. Sturgis, 71

FULTON, NY – David N. Sturgis, 71 of Fulton, passed away at home on Monday July 1, 2013, after a brief illness.

He retired as superintendent of buildings and grounds for the Fulton Consolidated School System after working there 40 years.

Surviving are his wife, Carolyn Sturgis of Fulton; children, Terry (Stanley) Perkins, Douglas (Colleen) Sturgis and David Sturgis Jr. all of Fulton and Daniel (Tina) Sturgis of Rochester; sisters, Mary (William) Joice, Martha (Willard) Becker and Christine Sturgis all of Fulton and Margaret Mack of North Carolina; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Harriett Sturgis; and brother, Peter Sturgis.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St. in Fulton.
