FULTON, NY – Dianne Shortsleeve, 73, of Fulton, passed away at home on Thursday August 22, 2013, surrounded by her family.
A native of Oswego, she resided in the Fulton-Phoenix area most of her life.
She retired as a home health aide after 15 years and had previously worked at S.S.A.C., Eagle Comtronics and General Electric Company.
Dianne was an active member of Believer’s Chapel in Fulton where she sang in the choir, organized and worked in the kitchen ministry and loved to serve the Lord.
She was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Lucille Pelow.
Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Frederick Shortsleeve of Fulton; four children, Cheryl (Thomas) Temple of Fulton, Mark (Paula) Shortsleeve of Parish, Edward Christian of Plattsburgh and Cindi (Kevin) Socie of Fulton; stepmother, Janice (Malcolm MacPherson) Pelow of Oswego; brothers, Richard (Maureen) Pelow of Oswego and Randall (Brenda) Pellow of Shippensburg, Pa.; sisters, Debra (Geoffrey) Carter of Belair, Md., Darlene (Gary) Sullivan of Rochester and Florence (Michael) Smith of Chicago, Ill.; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton, with services at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Onondaga County Veteran’s Cemetery in Syracuse.

My deepest condolences to the Shortsleeve family. I just came across this obituary in my search for my dear friend, Mark Shortsleeve, whom I truly loved in college days at Brockport State college. I am also trying to find his siblings Cheryl and Edward, whom have also touched me dearly with their letters in 1984.
