Douglas E. ‘Doug’ Malone, 60

HANNIBAL, NY – Douglas E. “Doug” Malone, 60, of Oswego Town, passed away peacefully at home Saturday August 12, 2017, surrounded by his loving family.

Born to Leo Malone and the late Alma Laws, he had resided in the town of Oswego his entire life.

Doug was passionate about politics, serving 18 years as a county legislator in the Oswego County 20th District.

He was the owner and operator of Malone’s Garage since 1988 and enjoyed spending time on his Harley Davidsons.

In addition to his mother, Douglas was predeceased by his brother, Stanley Malone, in 2002.

Doug is survived by his children, Brian McGraw, Rory (Emily) Malone and Meghan (Eric) Sherman; grandchildren, Leo and Winnie Malone with another expected in January; father, Leo C. Malone; siblings, Timothy (Margie) Malone, Danny (Claire) Malone, Becky (Bill) Truax and Terri (Tony) Tuso; beloved canine companion, Crosby; many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held Thursday, August 17, from 4 to 7 p.m. and Friday, August 18, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga St., Hannibal.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Saturday, August 19, at Our Lady of the Rosary, 923 Cayuga St., Hannibal.

Burial will be in Oswego Town Rural Cemetery.
