Duane Horton, 69

HANNIBAL, NY – Duane L. Horton, 69, of Martville, lost a long hard fight with dementia on Wednesday, May 23, 2018.

He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.

Duane was an avid hunter, who was proud to have been recognized for the record buck he had gotten, and loved fishing of any kind.

He was predeceased by his parents, Gerald and Rose Horton; and son, Chad Horton.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Arlene; son, Eric (Missie) Horton; brother, Terry (Sally) Horton; as well as several nieces and nephews.

There will be no calling hours or service.

A private family burial will be held at a later date in Springbrook Cemetery, Sterling.

  1. I am saddened to learn of the loss of Duane. Although years have passed by I remember Duane being in our class of ’68 and always seemed to have a casual air about himself and good friends surrounding him. Know that Duane, Arlene and his children will be in my thoughts and prayers in the days and weeks to come.
