Emrys ‘Tom’ Jones, 93

FULTON, NY – Emrys “Tom” Jones, 93, of Fulton, passed away Saturday July 4, 2015, at St. Luke Health Services in Oswego.

Born in Corwen, Wales, Tom moved to the United States in 1946.

He worked at Nestle Company for 46 years, retiring in 1984.

Tom was a British Royal Air Force veteran of World War II.

He enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing.

He was predeceased by his wife, Mary E. Schwitter Jones, who passed away in 2013.

Tom is survived by his seven children, Barbara (John) Oleyourruk of Oswego, Edward (Colleen) Jones of Fulton, Alun (Denise) Jones of Cumming, Ga., Kenneth Jones of Fulton, Linda Jones of Ithaca, Philip (Michelle) Jones of Fulton and Christopher (Doreen) Jones of Oswego; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Calling hours and services will be private.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Foster Funeral Home in Fulton.

  2. Tom and Mary Jones were great friends of my parents, Joan and Charlie Terranova, they had shared many happy times at my parents house. Tom and my Dad both worked at Nestles together and after they retired, they both wintered in Florida and enjoyed each others company down there. Now, the four of them are together again. I am sorry for your loss. He was a great man and I remember him as having a wonderful smile.
