FULTON, NY – Ernest C. Grant, 64, of Fulton, passed away on Monday January 23, 2017, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse.

He was a lifelong resident of Fulton and the son of the late Byron and Edith (Palmer) Grant.

Ernie was employed at Nestles in Fulton as a supervisor for many years until the plant closed.

He then went to work for Schneider Packaging Equipment Company in Brewerton until his retirement in 2014.

Known to work from sunup to sundown, he was an all-around handyman and gardener.

Ernie enjoyed traveling with his wife, Priscilla, and visiting family out of state.

He was also an avid NASCAR racing fan.

He will be greatly missed by his wife of 36 years, Priscilla Grant; seven children, Kevin (Jessica) Grant of Fulton, Patrick (Rachel) Grant of Charlotte, NC, Chip (Marie) France of Missouri, Krista (Eric) Weatherstone of Jordan, David France of North Syracuse, Theresa Grinnell (Brian Austic) of Fulton and Dawn (Mike) Billion of Fulton; 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Donald (Judy) of Sandy Creek; sister, Sharon Milton of Virginia; and four nieces.

Calling hours will be held 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, January 27, at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, January 28, at the Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church, 2819 County Route 45, Fulton with burial to follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
