FULTON, NY – Evelyn M. Guilfoyle, 105, of Fulton, passed away on Tuesday August 8, 2017, at Morningstar Care Center in Oswego.

A native of Lake Placid, she had resided in Fulton most of her life.
Evelyn had worked at Herron’s Fabric Store, Sealright Packaging Company, Woolworth’s and the Fulton Market Basket grocery store all in Fulton.
She was a communicant of the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Fulton (currently renamed Holy Trinity Parish) where she was a member of Catholic Daughters of the Americas #843.
Evelyn had also been a member of the Riverside Homemaking Unit from Cornell and volunteer for the A. L. Lee Memorial Hospital, American Red Cross blood drives and Girl Scouts.
She was predeceased by her husband, Harold E. Guilfoyle; a son, William Guilfoyle; and a grandson, William Guilfoyle II.
Surviving are: a son, James Guilfoyle of Fulton; two daughters, Eleanor Wilhelmi of Stuart, Fla., and Sharon Hawkes of Fulton; seven grandchildren, Sean Harrington, Timothy Jerome, James Jerome, Kathleen Rocco, Karen Ferola, Teresa Teatro and Jerrod Hawkes; 11 great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, August 13, at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Monday, August 14, at Holy Trinity Parish, corner of Rochester and South Third streets, Fulton, with interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Fulton.
