Frances “Chubby” Scaringi, 84, of Fulton, died Sunday.

A native of Fulton, she was a life resident. Chubby was a homemaker and ran a cake decorating business out of her home. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Fulton; “The Hobo’s” clown group who performed at the Cracker Barrel Fair, parades and other civic functions. Chubby was Secretary-Treasurer of the Gauchos Drum & Bugle Corps. for many years. She was predeceased by her husband of 42 years, John Scaringi and by her sister, Shirlee Collins.

Surviving are her children, Dennis Scaringi of Buffalo, Lynne (James) Fox of Canandaigua, Dale Scaringi of Stuart, FL and Gay (Charlene) Scaringi of Fulton; 11 grandchildren, Kara, Emily, Kristin, Alison, Jamie, Jeff, Cari, Aaron, Michael, Connie and Vinnie; 19 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Foster Funeral Home, Fulton with burial at Mt. Adnah Cemetery in Fulton. Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton. The family requests memorial contributions be made to either the Fulton Historical Society; 177 South First St., PO Box 157, Fulton, NY 13069 or Mt. Adnah Cemetery Association, 706 East Broadway, Fulton, NY 13069.
