Gerald J. Ware, 64

Gerald J. Ware, 64 of Fulton, passed away Thursday at Oswego Hospital.

Born in Fulton, Jerry was a life resident. Jerry worked for HSBC for more than 40 years and ending his career as President. He was a member of I.M.C., Fulton Lion’s Club, O.H.A.C of Osceola, Fulton Elks Club, Fulton Polish Home and the Osceola Snowmobile Club. He was past member of the Oswego Country Club. Jerry enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family and living life to its fullest. He was predeceased by his wife, Rosamond, who passed away in 2009.

He is survived by his step-daughter, Tammy Belson of Jacksonville, FL; grandsons, Jeffrey and Darrell Ashley; siblings, Dawn (Larry) Mullen of St. Cloud, FL, Sandra Ware of Fulton, John Ware of Fulton; a niece, Sherry (Michael) Lundquist of Fulton and their cherished children, Logan, Falyn and Ethan.

Calling hours will be 3 to 6 p.m. Monday with a 6 p.m. service to follow at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton. Memorial contributions may be made to O.H.A.C, c/o Valerie Witzigman, 1087 Comins Rd., Redfield, 13437 or Fulton Lion’s Club, c/o Steve Chirello, 121 So. First St., Fulton, 13069.

  2. I’m so sorry to hear about Gerry’s passing. He was an incredible person whom I will miss dearly. Without his confidence in me, I would not have been able to start my first business as easily as I did. His smile and chuckle will always be in my heart. He also had the patience of Job to put up with my wretched attempts at golfing. My sincere condolences to his family.

  3. I will always remember Gerry’s sense of humor and love of life from my days working with him at HSBC. I considered him a mentor and a friend and though I hadn’t seen him in many years, I often thought of him. My condolences to his family and friends.
