Henry J. Roy, 101

FULTON, NY – Henry J. Roy, 101, formerly of Fulton, passed away Saturday Jan. 7, 2012, at the VA Medical Center in Syracuse.

Born in Canada, he was a longtime resident of the Fulton area.

Henry retired from Sealright Co. after 38 years.

He was a Navy veteran, serving from 1943-45.

Henry was a communicant of The Church of the Immaculate Conception and a life member of VFW Post 569, Fulton.

Henry enjoyed baseball and hockey, especially the Dodgers and the Canadians.

He was predeceased by his wife, Mae L. Albright Roy, who passed away in 2002; a daughter, Joan H. Roy, in 1950; a granddaughter, Julie Lynn Moore, in 1970; and a grandson, Lester M. Butler, in 1985.

He will be lovingly missed by his daughters, Betty Jean Hall of Oswego and Linda (Tom) Sierant of Cicero; a sister, Juliette Dumaine of Kentucky; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Trinity Church, Fulton.

Calling hours will be 3 to 5 p.m. Monday at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton.
