Herbert ‘Butch’ Kelly Jr., 64

FULTON, NY – Herbert “Butch” Kelly Jr., 64, of Fulton, passed away peacefully on Monday June 16, 2014, at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse, after a brief illness.

He was a graduate of G. Ray Bodley High School, class of 1969.

Butch recently retired from Interface Solutions in Fulton as a maintenance supervisor after 42 years.

He served with the Army National Guard of New York from 1970 to 1976.

Butch owned a 1968 Chevy Camaro in which he took much pride and he enjoyed watching NASCAR races.

He was a true family man and gentleman and known by his family and friends for his ability to tinker with just about anything.

Butch was predeceased by his son, Chad Kelly, in 2012.

Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Donna Duda Kelly of Fulton; his daughter, Corin Kelly of Fayetteville, NC; a sister, Lorelei Hanczyk of Fulton; brothers-in-law, James (Karen) Duda of Florida and Gerald (Natasha) Duda of Nevada; a sister-in-law, Dawn (William) Goss of Hastings; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton, NY.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the OCAWL/SPCA, P.O. Box 442, Fulton, NY 13069.

  1. Bob and myself were shocked when we heard the news of Butch passing away..We are so sorry and we send out deepest, deepest sympathy to Donna and the family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this most difficult time..Butch was a great guy and always had a smile on his face..
