John T. Sushereba, 70

FULTON, NY – John T. Sushereba, 70, of Fulton died Tuesday May 5, 2015, at Oswego Hospital.

His family was near him when he joined his mother, Beulah; father, Theodore; sisters, Pearl Elliott, Janis Knitter, Donna Nickles and Maxine Borden.

John served his country during the Vietnam War as an E 5 Sergeant in the U.S. Army.

His life consisted of work in the salt mines of Retsof, NY, and electrical work at Owens Illinois and Nestles both in Fulton.

John’s favorite part of his life was writing children’s books with his wife, Karen.

One of the 13 books they wrote was recognized by Queen Elizabeth, Prince William and Duchess Kate. The Royals sent a letter to John and his wife thanking them for their book.

John is survived by his wife of 52 years, Karen; children, Richard D. (Windy) Sushereba, Greg J. (Karran) Sushereba, Suezette (Barry) Dunham and Irene Sushereba; 14 grandchildren, Justin, Christopher, Sabrina, Dalton, J.J., Madison, Babette, Donald, Melody, Emma, Michael, Kristen, Andrew and Jeffery; four great-grandchildren, Ady Lynne, Annabella, Hayden and Christian.

Funeral services will be private.

Foster Funeral Home, Fulton has care of arrangements.

John’s biggest request was that his family be at peace.
