Joseph A. Dashnau, Jr., 57, of Fulton passed away on Sunday, July 25th surrounded by loved ones at his home following a brief illness. Born on July 31, 1952 in Fulton, he was a graduate of G. Ray Bodley High School, class of 1970. Joe was employed as a machinist for many years and had worked at Nestle Company in Fulton for 14 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Joe was predeceased by his father, Joseph A. Dashnau, Sr. and is survived by his wife of 29 years, Sue France Dashnau of Fulton; eight children, David Dashnau, Jason Dashnau, Joseph Dashnau III, Robert (Lori) Kelly and Brian (Kathy) Kelly all of Fulton and Michael France, Andrea Hartmann and Heather Weldin all of Oswego; his mother, Beverly Gifford Dashnau of Fulton; two brothers, Stephen Dashnau of Florida and Douglas Dashnau of Syracuse; 12 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a niece and a nephew; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorial Services will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, August 14, 2010, at Church of the Nazerene, 914 Utica Street, Fulton. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dashnau family. Foster Funeral Home, Fulton has charge of arrangements.

  1. My deepest sympathy to the Dashnau family. The last time I saw Joe was while riding on the school bus daily with him in high school; he was very popular, well like, and respected by his fellow classmates. Joe was one person in my life who I have never forgotten.

  2. I knew Joe when we were both younger , and a heck of a nice guy he was ! I am so sorry for his family and my prayers and thoughts go out to each and everyone of you .
