FULTON, NY – Joseph J. Higgins, 87, of Fulton, passed away after a brief illness on Friday August 25, 2017.

Born in Patterson, NJ, Joe had spent most of his life in Fulton.
He enjoyed bowling, having served as the past president of the Fulton Bowling Association and was inducted into both the New York State Bowling Hall of Fame and Fulton Bowling Hall of Fame.
In 2015 he became the Super Senior Champion Bowler.
Joe was a retiree of General Electric in Syracuse.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Virginia; brother, Owen; and a daughter, Debra Hall.
Joseph is survived by his wife of 34 years, Patricia; daughter, Joann Dugar; eight stepchildren; 28 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, August 30, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton.
A graveside service will be Thursday, August 31, at 10 a.m. in Mount Adnah Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Joseph’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 7, East Syracuse, NY 13057 or Oswego SPCA, P.O. Box 442, Fulton, NY 13069.

So sorry to here this, he was such a nice guy, enjoyed talking to him at 4th st school when he was the greeter. He will be missed by many RIP and prayers for the family
Uncle Joe will be missed greatly. He always took time out to say hi when he was at the Bowling Alley. It won’t be the same not seeing him at the lanes. He was a great man. RIP.
So sorry for the loss of Joe, He did so much for the Fulton bowling and worked well with everyone a great leader we talked all the time to try and improve bowling and set up our city tournament. RIP JOE
