FULTON, NY – Joseph M. Jenkins Sr., 66, of Fulton, passed away suddenly on Friday April 1, 2016.

He had worked for the city of Fulton D.P.W. for more than 28 years and at Northern Aggregates in Volney.

Joe enjoyed NASCAR races, airplanes, heavy equipment, birdwatching, yardwork, country drives and summertime gatherings.

Surviving are his wife, Judy Jenkins of Fulton; two children, Jamie Jenkins (Steve Jodway) and Joseph “Jocko” Jenkins Jr. all of Fulton; foster children, Beverly Wheeling and Jackie Bruce; siblings, Dawn Barrett (Mark), Barbara Quackenbush (Aaron), Ronald Jenkins Sr. and Michael and Terry Firenze; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Thursday at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St. in Fulton with services to follow.

  4. I’m so sorry about Uncle Joe, Aunt Judy. I remember him to be a pretty nice man. He’d come to Vinnie and my show and always request Oh Danny Boy. You could see it in his eyes that he loved that song. He will be missed. I love you, and Jocko and Jamie. My thoughts are with y’all in your time of sorrow. God bless.
