VOLNEY, NY – Joyce M. Bartlett, 86, of Volney, New York, passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2022, after a brief illness at home with her family by her side.
Joyce was born in Lysander, the second oldest child of seven, to the late Ernest and Isabelle Hahn. She was a graduate of the Baldwinsville Academy.
Joyce moved to Fulton, where she married Earl J. Bartlett, in 1959. She worked and retired from Nestles Co. after 30 years of service.
She loved people and helping at the Mount Pleasant Church functions. Joyce and Earl would go dancing and bowling in their early years of marriage. She loved to knit, sew, do embroidery, word seek-puzzles, go shopping, being a homemaker but most of all being a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 38 years, Earl J. Bartlett; stepson, David G.; and three brothers, Ray, Carl, Wayne; and her sister, Doris Matthews.
Joyce is survived by her children, Catherine, and Kenneth (Candace) their daughter, Laura, all of Volney; sister, Beverly Caruso of Mattydale; brother, Harold of Penneville; several step-grandchildren; great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, 2819 County Rte 45, Fulton, NY 13069.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, November 21, 2022, from 3 to 5 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 5 p.m. at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton. Burial will be in the spring in New Haven Cemetery.
