Kenneth Nihoff, 90

HANNIBAL, NY – Kenneth Nihoff, 90, lifelong resident of the Hannibal / Oswego area passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday January 3, 2017.

Kenneth was an Army veteran of World War II serving from 1944 until 1946.

He enjoyed playing cards with his family and trips to Florida in the winter to visit friends and family.

He was self-employed as an auto body repairman until his retirement.

Mr. Nihoff served on the bard of tustees at Hannibal United Methodist Church.

Kenneth was predeceased by his parents, Archibald and Marguerite (Perkins) Nihoff; two brothers; a sister; and his daughter, Debra Sidman, who died in 2012.

Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Bernice; son, Donald (Sharon) of Martville; son-in-law, Danny Sidman of Hannibal; five grandchildren, Christopher (Brenda) Nihoff of Canastota, Kimberly (Wayne) Forsythe of Oswego, Jason Nihoff of Martville, Danny (Reannon) Sidman Jr. of Hannibal and Ashley Sidman of Hannibal; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Nadine Clark and Louise Dashnau both of Oswego; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, January 9, at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga St., Hannibal with a funeral service to immediately follow.

Burial will take place at Hannibal Village Cemetery in the spring.
