LaVerne Q. Ryder, 63, of Palermo, passed away Thursday.
He was a life resident of Palermo. Vern was a member of the Millwrights Union local #1163 and was employed with C & S Tech in Syracuse.
Vern was predeceased by his father, Vernon E. Ryder, who died in 2001 and by a sister, Rosalee Graham, who died in 2010.
He is survived by his wife, Lynne Bateman Ryder; daughter, Karinn (Jeremy) Francis; son, Tyson Ryder; his mother, Dawn Ryder; three sisters, Kelly (Tim) Savage, Rebecca (Don) Dolbear and Allison (Paul Gates) Ryder; grandson, Remy Ryder Francis all of Palermo as well as several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are Monday 1to 3 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. with a 7 p.m. service to follow at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton.
