LaVersa M. Scott, 96

FULTON, NY – LaVersa M. Scott, 96, of Granby Center, passed away on Sunday June 29, 2014, surrounded by her loving family.

A native of Sandy Creek, she lived in Granby Center most of her life.

LaVersa was an active member of the Granby Center United Methodist Church for many years.

She was predeceased by her husband, John Scott; a son, Ellison Scott; and by her brothers, Mason and Robert McNeilly.

Surviving are her children, Ann (Robert) Kastler of Fulton, Jean Scott of Sterling, Mildred Flett of Baldwinsville, Linda (Thomas) Leonard of Hannibal and John (Karen) Scott of Redmond, Ore.; a sister, Freeda Benham of Auburn; nine grandchildren, Laurie Thompson, Rosanne Cornell, Shelly Murphy, Kelly Jett, Aaron Flett, Holly Scott, John Scott Jr., Scott Leonard and Penny Leonard; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton.

Services will be conducted 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home with burial at Fairdale Rural Cemetery in Hannibal.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Granby Center United Methodist Church or to Friends of Oswego County Hospice.
