FULTON – May 3, 2026, Lona M. Miller, 83, of Fulton, NY passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at St. Luke’s nursing home. She was born in Syracuse in 1942 to the late George and Leona (Fredette) Guckert and went to school in North Syracuse. Lona and her husband Dale met on a blind date in 1958 and were married for 63 years. They had four children, six grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. She worked for Phoenix Central Schools for six years, was a parishioner of St. Stephen’s Church in Phoenix where she taught religious education for many years. In 1992, Lona started her own business Jack n Jills Consignment Shop in Clay, which she ran for 25 years. She enjoyed socializing with her many friends and tending to her flower gardens. Lona was predeceased by her son, Paul Louis Miller in 2011, her brother, Richard Rolfe, and her son in law, Timothy Carr.
Surviving are her husband, Dale W. Miller; three children, Michelle (John) Gallagher, Lona May Carr, John W. (Moira) Miller; six grandchildren, Kayla, Paige, Jesse, Alexa, Jacob, and Mary; great-grandchildren, Ariana, Maya, Ezra, Victoria, and one on the way.
In respect to Lona’s wishes, the services will be private. Foster Funeral Home has care of arrangements.
