Marjorie Sherman, 67

Marjorie Sherman, 67, of Sterling died Wednesday at Oswego Hospital.

Born in Oswego she was a life resident of Sterling. Marjorie was a bank teller for Fulton Savings Bank at The Commons branch in Fulton. She was a member of Sterling United Methodist Church and the Sterling Historical Society. Marjorie loved to read, travel and spend time with her grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, James Sherman, Sr. who died March 28, 2005, a granddaughter, Angela Garcia who died in 1983, three sisters and one brother.

Surviving: a daughter, Carla (Javier) Garcia of Greenville, SC; two sons, James, Jr. (Michele) Sherman and Luke (Tammy) Sherman all of Sterling; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Judy (Jack) Norris of Wolcott;

Calling hours are Saturday 4 to 7 p.m. with a 7 p.m. service to follow at the Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga Street, Hannibal. Private burial will be at Fairdale Rural Cemetery, Hannibal. Contributions may be made to the Sterling United Methodist Church, 1297 State Route 104A, Sterling, NY 13156.
