FULTON, NY – Paul H. Heer Jr., 81, of Fulton, passed away on Sunday July 10, 2016.

He was born on January 13, 1935, in Palermo to the late Paul H. and Fern Barnes Heer.

Paul had worked as a custodian at Hannibal Central Schools.

He enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing.

Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Nina B. Heer, in 2015; and sister, Barbara Barkely.

He will be greatly missed and forever loved by his four children, Paul (Roberta) Heer of Colton, George (Jeanne) Heer of Fulton, Tena (Bob) Cunningham of Hannibal and Stephen (Cindy) Heer of Oswego; 10 grandchildren, Paul Robert (Kim) Heer, Jamie (Jason) Reed, Kim Brockway, Laura (Brad) Miller, Hollie (Mike) Anderson, Brittanie (Jeff Tetro) Brockway, Tara (Justin) Bymaster, Beth (Matt Rockafeller) Cunningham, Nicole (Will) Coady and Stephen A.P. Heer; 21 great-grandchildren, Taylor, Sabrina, Robert, Hannah, Jo Jo, Matayah, Sam, Paul, Reilly, Shelby, Everly, Matisyn, Carter, Nathan, Nickolas, Hunter, Autumn, Bailey, Stratton, Trinity and Hailey; three brothers, Jake, Sam and Henry Heer; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 22, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton, where a memorial service will immediately follow at 7 p.m.

  1. Sending tons of thoughts and prayers to the family. I had the honor of taking care of Paul when he was at St Luke’s. I will miss him.

  2. I not only knew Paul as one of our custodians, but when I was a kid, he was our milkman, and kidded with Mom that we were his best customer; 56 quarts a week. Paul was a fine man. Condolences to his family.

  3. I remember Mr. Heer, he was such a kind man to us snot nosed “know it all” kids… prayers to his friends & family. HCS just lost another great man!!!
