Ray L. Gregory, 46

Ray L. Gregory, 46, of Fulton, died Saturday.

Born in Fulton, he was a life resident. Ray was employed at Spear USA in Fulton as a shipping clerk for the past 13 years.

He enjoyed softball, basketball and watching racing at Oswego Speedway. Ray was an avid bowler, having bowled many 300 games.

He was predeceased by his wife, Amy Gregory who died August 23, 2002 and his father, Raymond L. Gregory who died in 1979.

Surviving: his children, Courtney and Daniel Gregory both of Fulton; his mother, Marian Gregory of Fulton; a brother, Todd Gregory of Cicero; many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.

Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Foster Funeral Home, Fulton. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Volney. Calling hours are 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton.

  4. What a bond Ray has created amongst family and friends. Marion, Ray, and Todd have always been a part of the Hayden family. Thanks to all of you who searched for Ray when he was missing and those of you that prayed for him or sent kind words and thoughts to his family and friends. Your smile will forever be remembered.   5. Ray is like a cousin to me as we grew up together in the Hughes household most every night of our young lives. He was a great kid and came from a beautiful family. He will be missed and always loved as he should be. My prayers go out to the family and I’m ever so sorry for your loss. God has bigger plans for Ray we cannot comprehend here on Earth, but I know his dad, wife, Uncle Tom ,his cousin Tom, Uncle George and his grandparents are all surrounding him with their love in heaven. He’s not alone that’s for sure. I love you Ray and give a big hug to all for me too.

  7. Ray will be missed by many people. Things in our family gatherings just wont be the same. His sarcastic remarks, funny jokes and his smile. Rest in peace Ray. Thanks to everyone that helped search, it truely shows that when a great friend is in need how people pull together as a working team. We love and miss you already Ray.   9. Ray will be missed by many. He was a big part of our Oswego Speedway racing family and bowling community as well. Ray had a heart as big as the world and would do or give anything to anyone . He lived his life to the fullest and even though he wasn’t here for a long time, he made sure that he and his friends had a good time. Godspeed Ray as you have left a mark in all of our hearts and fond memories that we will never forget and treasure forever.

  10. Ray is my cousin and I am deeply heart broken along with the rest of my family. I am even more saddened because I am unable to be there to grieve with them since I live in Indiana. Know my heart i with you during this time and I love you all. I love you and will forever miss you Ray. Hug Amy, Brian, & Aunt Sue for me. When you meet up with the rest of the family up there hug them too. R.I.P.

  11. Ray will be sadly missed. He organized the Oficers Tournament at the Recreation Club in Fulton for the past few years and it will not be the same without him. He was my partner a couple years ago and we have been friends since. He has a wonderful heart.Deepest sympathy to the family.
