FULTON – May 21, 2026, Rebecca F. Crego, 84, of Hannibal, NY passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Oswego Hospital. Born in Virginia, she was a daughter to the late Harold and Clara (Bogan) Rodgers. While in Virginia, 20 year-old Becky went on a blind date with an Army serviceman named John. They fell deeply in love, married three months later, and eventually relocated to John’s hometown of Hannibal to build their family. Becky went on to work as a machine operator, retiring from Tessy Plastics.
Known as the “jewel of the family,” Becky will always be remembered for her kindness and thoughtfulness. She was a talented quilt maker who took great joy in gifting them to loved ones. Devout in her faith, Becky was an active member of the Hannibal Center Methodist Church, frequently baking for church events. She also volunteered her time helping with election dinners at the Hannibal Legion. She was predeceased by her husband, John H. Crego and 10 siblings.
Surviving are her three children, Penny (Tony) Salinas, Raymond Crego, and Windy Crego; seven grandchildren, John, Ashley, Danny, Madison, Jamie Jr., Dalton, and Sabrina; 13 great grandchildren; one sister, Mildred (George) Viandes; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be a private graveside service for family at Ira Union Cemetery. Foster Funeral Home has care of arrangements.
