FULTON, NY – Robert G. “Bob” Nilsen, 71, of Fulton, passed away New Year’s Eve, Sunday December 31, 2017, at home.

He was born in Brooklyn, NY, to the late George and Elizabeth Knowles Nilsen; moving at a young age to Levittown, Pa., and eventually moving to Fulton in 2005.

Bob enjoyed bowling with his grandchildren and was a Yankees fan.

He will be remembered as a devoted and caring man.

He was predeceased by his sister, Karen Engle.

Bob will be greatly missed by his wife, Maria; children, Stacy (John) Scull, Robert (Lori) Nilsen and David Mychajlyszyn; grandchildren, Willow Scull, Douglas Nilsen, Isaac Nilsen and Crystal Nilsen; brother, Johnny Nilsen; his dog, Buddy; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at the convenience of his family.

  1. Great guy, Bob helped me through some difficult times back in the day. A kind and caring man. I am so thankful to Maria and Cindy for putting me in touch with Bob last week. We had a good talk

  5. What a shock when I open my facebook. We will miss our chats together in the park when walking our dogs. Bob was a source of information about going on’s in Fulton with lot of friends. Craig enjoyed teasing Bob about the Yankees. We will greatly miss him.
