Ronald E. Ives, 61

FULTON, NY – Ronald E. Ives, 61, of Fulton, died Sunday April 1, 2012, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse.

Born in Fulton, he was a life resident.

Ron had worked at Affordable Heating in Mexico for many years.

He had previously worked at Cyclotherm Boiler and was co-owner of Wal-Ron Boiler Parts and Service both in Oswego.

Ron was a former member of VFW Post 369 in Mexico.

He was a Navy veteran serving from 1973 to 1977.

Surviving: his wife of 42 years, the former Cecilia Dante; a son, Robert Ives of Oswego; a daughter, Melissa Ives of Volney; four grandchildren, Andrew, Mariah, Alyssa and Skyler; brother, Donald (Andrea) Ives of Baldwinsville; three sisters, Adele (Gary) Blasczienski of Fulton, Wendy (Terry) Flett of Fulton and Elaine Niver of Inverness, Fla.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Foster Funeral Home, Fulton.

Burial will be at North Volney Cemetery.

Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, 910 Fay St., Fulton.

  1. Ron, You were a great guy and always helped me out when I had a problem on furnaces that i couldn’t figure out,Not sure what I will do without you. Til we meet again Big Mac.RIP.

Yeah Wayne it couldnt be better said “what am I gonna do with out you Ron” I really feel such a great loss with your death, you were a friend always there for me, you were my ace in the hole ans now your gone. I dont do funurals well so I surfe couldnt attend your services Ron but I’ll sure frequent your grave and have a visit ans a talk with you as much as I can. I love you my brother, you did so much for me and tought me many things, your a imprint in my life that could never be erased.
