Ruby E. MacDougall, 89

FULTON, NY – Ruby E. MacDougall, 89, of Volney, passed away Wednesday November 26, 2014, at St. Luke Health Services in Oswego.

She was born at the Stevens’ Sawmill homestead to the late Maurice and Alice Stevens of North Volney.

Ruby attended the North Volney Schoolhouse and was taught by her future mother-in-law, the late, Fae MacDougall.

Ruby was a homemaker and was a member of North Volney United Methodist Church.

She was predeceased by her husband, Verne G. MacDougall, who died in 2002.

Ruby is survived by her children, Glenn (Crystal) MacDougall of Fulton, Donna (Pullen) MacDougall of North Volney, Terry (Cindy) MacDougall of Fulton and Barry (Warren) MacDougall of North Carolina; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Ruby’s family would like to thank the staff at St. Luke Health Services for the wonderful care and kindness given to Ruby during her stay.

Calling hours will be held 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday with services to follow at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. December 1 at North Volney Cemetery, County Route 4, Volney.

    I was very sorry to hear of Ruby’s passing. She was one of the last of my parents’ generation to still be with us. It’s hard to believe that these wonderful people are almost all gone.

    I hope your find convert in the love and support of your family during this difficult and painful time.
