Sharon A. Foster Pryor, 64

FULTON, NY – Sharon A. Foster Pryor, 64, formerly of Oswego, passed away on Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at Crouse Hospital, Syracuse, following a sudden illness.

A native of Fulton, she had lived in Oswego many years before moving to North Syracuse.

Sharon was a retired licensed practical nurse having worked for St. Luke Residential Health Services and Sunrise Nursing Home formerly Harr Wood Nursing in Oswego, Dr. Shafiq Hazboun and Dr. Michael Bowser’s medical practices and Lee Memorial Hospital in Fulton.

She enjoyed crocheting afghans and mittens.

Sharon was predeceased by her parents, Clifford and Ruth Foster.

Surviving are her sons, Harold “Hal” (Kim Sotherden) Pryor of North Syracuse and Eric (DJ) Pryor of Baytown, Texas; brothers, Ronald (Cindy) Foster and Paul (Debbie) Foster all of Fulton; sister, Carol Foster of Oswego; grandchildren, Jennifer and Stacey Sotherden, Kelsey and Vance Pryor; an aunt, Marion Taylor of Fulton; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours are 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday 18 at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton with a service to follow at 3 p.m.

Burial will be at Mount Adnah Cemetery in Fulton.

The family requests that memorial contributions may be made to CNY SPCA, 5878 East Molloy Road,  Syracuse, NY 13211.

  1. I am so sorry to hear of Sharon’s passing. In 1971, when she was a nurse at Fulton hospital, she helped make our parents’ 25th anniversary celebration special by somehow getting permission to bring Grandma Brown out of the hospital for a few hours to add to Mom and Dad’s surprise. Grandma arrived in Sharon’s red convertible, and thanks to Sharon, our day was perfect. She was a great gal.
