Thomas E. Samson, 69

FULTON, NY – Thomas E. Samson, 69, of Fulton, passed away Friday January 30, 2015, at Crouse Hospital, Syracuse.

Born in Fulton, he was a life resident of the area.

Tom had worked at Carrier Corp. in Syracuse.

He proudly served as a 9th Combat Marine Engineer from 1965 to 1968 and in Ka-Lu Vietnam from 1967 to 1968.

Tom also served in the Navy from 1973 to 1974.

He was a lifetime member of Fulton VFW Post 569 and was a communicant of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Minetto.

Tom was fond of antiques and spending time with his family.

He was predeceased by siblings, Mary Evelyn Caprin, John B. Samson, Francis P. Samson, Deborah Rupert and Bobby Samson.

Tom will be greatly missed and forever loved by his wife, Joy; daughters, Rebecca Smith and Kayla Samson; step-children, Mark Parry, Penny (Mark) Birckhead and Frank (Tina) Donaldson; siblings, Joanne Bracy Dirk, Margaret (Al) Foraker, George Roland (Betty) Samson, Honore (Bill) Lyons, Brian (Elke) Samson and  Michele (John) Parrish; many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Trinity Church, corners of South Third and Rochester streets, Fulton.

Calling hours will be   4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton.
