Valerie J. Goss, 75

FULTON, NY – Valerie J. Goss, 75, of Fulton, passed away on Sunday August 28, 2016, at Oswego Hospital.

She was born on June 6, 1941, in Watertown, a daughter to the late Charles and Helen Mae Ransier Goss.

She enjoyed several hobbies including, walking, reading, playing games, cooking and watching movies.

Val volunteered at the Salvation Army, enjoyed charity crafting and operated a prison ministry.

She was a member of Lakeside Christin Ministries, Fulton.

She was predeceased by her daughter, JoVonna (Cregg) Jones, in 2009; and nine siblings.

She will be greatly missed and forever loved by her three daughters, Bridgette (Jerry) Seguin of Fulton, Mary (Bob) Nearbin of Oswego and Holly Skinner of Massena; 10 grandchildren, Ali Beck, Kelly Bush, Timmy Stetson, Christopher Stetson, Bobbi Skinner, Kenny Caskinett, Isaih Petersen, Bridgette Petersen, Jalon Jones and Jala Jones; 12 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. on Friday, September 2, at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton.

  1. i am sorry to hear about this, Val and I used to play Yatzee at St. Francis all the time. Going to miss talking to her about clothing styles! RIP Val.

  2. Rip Aunt Val you will be missed. I still remember all those summers spent in Fulton at your place!!!

  3. Val I can not help but remember back to the summer of 1973 when we piled all of our kids into my station wagon and went to the state park every day all summer. Bar-B-Que, swimming, laughing having so much fun. My dearest friend “THANKYOU” for being a part of my life. Val I loved you then and will remember you in my prayers until we meet again. Alice B.
