William Lewis Wilcox, 89

FULTON – William L. Wilcox, 89, of Phoenix, passed away on Wednesday April 27, 2016, at Pontiac Care and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born on April 6, 1927, in Auburn, a son to the late Mark and Marlea Fawcett Wilcox.

Bill was a veteran of the US Navy.

He worked as a carpenter for several years before becoming a security guard at Morris Protective Services in Syracuse.

He was predeceased by his wife, Betsy, in 2010; son, Doby Jay; brother, Larry; and three sisters, Eleanor Lattimer, Helen Wilson and Lou Ronkowski.

He will be greatly missed and forever loved by his seven children, Mark (Carol) of Phoenix, Bill (Mary) of Oswego, David (Shelli) of Fulton, Lance of Fulton, Jason (Lora) of Syracuse, Patricia Ann of Central Square and John (Robin) of Fulton; 19 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Leah Lukins of California; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

At Bill’s request there will be no services.

Burial will be in Chase Cemetery, Lysander, at the convenience of the family.
