OSWEGO –
Cynthia P. LeFlore, 79, of Oswego Town, passed away on May 5, 2026.
Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of the late George and Jane (Drake) Wilson.
She worked as a Departmental Secretary for SUNY Oswego for 48 years, retiring in 2012.
In her younger years, she loved to dance and was in several honor societies in high school. In her later years, she was a member of the Oswego Association of Business & Professional Women. She enjoyed her cats, chocolate, and jeopardy. More than anything, she loved her family with all her heart. Cynthia was known and loved for her loving, caring, witty, and saucy personality.
Cynthia is survived by her loving daughters, Renee (Timothy) Mulkerin, Bethany (Jeffrey) Van Buren, and Michele (James) Dunne, her son, Randall (Cindy) LeFlore, grandchildren Morgan and Abigail Mulkerin, Sarah, Elizabeth, and Emma Van Buren, Andrew, Mark, and Alexandra Dunne, James and Michael LeFlore, and her best friend, Margie Paura.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Dr. James E. LeFlore, and her brothers George Wilson and Lawrence Carroll.
The family would like to thank the ladies who helped to care for her: Renee, Deb, Angie, Chiane, and Tonya. Family and friends are invited to call from 3-6 pm on Tuesday, May 12th, at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany Street. Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13th, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 45 E. Utica St., Oswego. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Trinity United Methodist Church or the Oswego Animal Shelter. Arrangements are under the caring guidance of Nelson Funeral Home.
